The Role
The Production Support team is looking for a qualified individual to assume a key role within our WI Business Automation Support team. The WI Business Automation Support team is responsible for the support/development of Defined Contribution macros, making them available to the business user community and managing the Cloud-Based Infrastructure which is responsible for their distribution. The position will include working very closely with our internal business partners providing support on existing macros, capturing requirements for new macros and building/releasing the newly developed macros. The position will also be involved in working with new DC cloud based infrastructure and tailoring the current business automation to meet rapidly changing infrastructure needs.
The team comes from diverse technical backgrounds and the responsibilities provide the opportunity for a variety of challenges. Ideal candidates will have a background in Excel, Access, VBA and database query tools with a desire to learn and understand platform engineering or SRE work. The platform is currently evolving into a Cloud-Based Model (Azure) and there will be an ongoing need to improve and iterate the deployments and continued support. We are looking for a Systems Thinking Leader who has helped teams scale through production insights, operational automation, developer guidance, real-time metrics, automation, automation, automation!
Team
The Fidelity Record Keeping Support team’s key role is the stability and availability of the Fidelity Record Keeping application to internal business and WI participants. The team has in-depth knowledge of Defined Contribution business who work with the client relationship managers and product teams to address incidents and provide solutions. We strive to provide outstanding support to all of our customers and help them adapt to the ever-changing technology landscape and ensure accurate data processing.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic/practical experience
- 5+ years of previous experience using Excel/VBA 2003 and a proven understanding of Excel 2010 and Office 365
- Experience with XML, SQL and SOAP Web services
- Knowledge of 401K Recordkeeping and DC processes a plus
- VB.NET, ASP.NET and SQL Server experience a huge plus
- Strong Excel, Access and VBA skills required
- Experience with database query tools
- Experience (or willingness to learn) scripting (bash or Powershell) Orchestration and/or Pipeline Tools (Ansible, Jenkins), Cloud-Based IaC (ARM, Terraform)
- Programming languages such as Python would be a big benefit as we progress down the Cloud Path
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Good interpersonal skills required
- This individual must be adaptable and work efficiently as an individual as well
- as in a team environment
- Ability to function effectively in a meaningful role balancing multiple projects and
- requests
- Ability to adjust communication to level of target audience providing clear,
- concise, and articulate updates as needed
- Build and maintain day-to-day internal and external relations in order
- to provide an ongoing high quality level of service to customers
- Apply good judgment and recommendations to reach critical organizational

- Develop Ad Hoc based macros on an occasional basis
- Responsible for developing test cases for new macros
- Improve existing macros to increase speed and reliability
- Quick learner with ability to pick up new tools
